The Pain Point
Instal-Life, a satellite TV provider based in Australia, were manually updating their online TV schedule every week using data from Excel spreadsheets. The process was time-consuming and could lead to incorrect schedules being published.
They wanted an automated way to keep the schedule accurate while freeing staff to focus on other work.
The Solution
We developed a custom WordPress module that automatically generated a responsive TV schedule using data gathered from the various TV channel sources.
Search & Filtering
Customers could search the schedule for programmes.
Timezone Support
The schedule could be shown in a user-selected timezone.
Print & PDF Export
Extra convenience features made the schedule more useful.
The Result
Instal-Life ended up with a fully automated schedule that no longer needed manual staff input to run or maintain. Staff time was freed up for more important tasks, and customers benefited from more reliable programme information.
