Supplier Feed Imports
Automated imports pulled stock, cost, and pricing data.
Case Study
Automating supplier stock and pricing updates so a high-volume ecommerce business could stay competitive and scale more efficiently.
Shiloh Computers Pty Ltd, an Australian IT reseller, wanted to grow online sales but were losing staff time to the repetitive task of keeping product stock levels and pricing up to date across several suppliers.
They needed to combine supplier stock, cost, and pricing data automatically and apply it to their ecommerce system on a daily basis.
We created a module for their ecommerce system that pulled data from supplier stock feeds and allowed Shiloh to apply filters and transformations to control how products were priced and managed.
Automated imports pulled stock, cost, and pricing data.
Filters gave the business more control over pricing rules.
New products could be added from external supplier feeds.
Products no longer supplied could be flagged automatically.
Shiloh’s website now updates stock and pricing from multiple supplier feeds automatically, keeping the business competitive while freeing staff to focus on marketing, order processing, and customer support.
Since the software was installed, the business has been able to expand the product range significantly and sales revenue increased by more than 60%.
This is a good example of the overlap between our WooCommerce and ecommerce work , WooCommerce checkout and conversion work and bespoke software development, where the commercial value often comes from smarter back-office automation.
